Stage 3
Design and Scope Development
Turning Ideas Into a Buildable Plan
Once the existing space and project goals are understood, we begin defining what the renovation will actually include.
This may involve layout decisions, structural considerations, materials, fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, lighting, plumbing or electrical changes, and other components of the project.
The objective is to move from a general idea such as “we want a better kitchen” to a clear scope that can be planned and constructed.
Kitchen Remodeling and Custom Cabinet Planning
For kitchen projects, cabinetry should be considered early because it affects much of the room.
CHC has expanded its work in kitchen remodeling and custom cabinetry. During planning, we consider cabinet configuration, storage needs, appliance placement, islands, pantry space, countertop areas, and how the cabinetry fits the dimensions of the room.
Custom cabinet projects may include solutions such as deep drawers, pantry cabinets, pull-out storage, built-in appliance areas, organizers, custom-sized cabinets, and islands designed around the homeowner’s needs.
Cabinet planning also has to coordinate with countertops, plumbing, electrical locations, flooring, appliances, and finished wall dimensions.
